Your Privacy is Protected
Cover Genie operates entirely inside your web browser. None of your personal details, student IDs, or assignment information are sent to external servers.
1. Local Processing & Storage
Everything you type into the form is processed locally in your browser and is never sent to our servers. To make the app smoother next time, a few commonly reused choices stay in this browser's local storage: your template, colour palette, font, university, department, name, ID, roll, section, semester, course details, and logo, plus any custom colour palettes, any student record you press “Save this student” on, and a short handoff from the landing page that is deleted as soon as the app reads it. Assignment titles, dates, group members and lab entries are not kept. Clear your browser's site data to remove everything.
2. No Analytics or Tracking
We do not store cookies, tracking tags, or third-party behavioral analytics scripts. Your academic identity remains completely confidential.
3. File Exports
Generated PDF documents and print jobs are rendered directly by your browser using html2canvas + jsPDF — without any cloud intermediary processing.
4. Third-Party CDNs
Google Fonts, CDNFonts (Li Ador Noirrit), Font Awesome, and the export libraries are loaded from CDNs (the landing page also loads its scroll library from unpkg). Those providers may see standard request data (e.g. your IP address) as with any web request.
